About Me

I am an open-minded, out-going person that tries to find joy in every place and situation. I like to travel and explore new places, in cities, small villages but especially I like to spend time in the nature with hiking, swimming etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here because I think traveling this way gives you the opportunity to discover the places you travel to in a unique way and also the possibility to share something of your own culture and experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I usually prefer reading for watching movies, but now and then I also really enjoy to go to alternative cinemas and watch movies about interesting topics, that make you think, ask questions or give you a special artistic impression.
My favorite writer since a long time is Hermann Hesse, but I also enjoy to read non-ficiton books. Also I am a bit into poems. Sometimes I can spend a few hours with just reading them.

My taste in music is more widely: from classical music to rap and techno. It depends a lot on my mood. I also play the piano since I am 6 and I still really enjoy doing that to relax and express myself.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time when I travelled in Brasil with two friends we went with a random bus to the country side because we wanted to get out of the big cities and the usual touristical ways. The bus was old, made many strange noises and fought his way for many hours through some poor roads in the mountains. It got dark and started raining. After a while a woman started to talk to us. She new some german words and was excited to hear our story.
We ended up sleeping in a house of one of her friends ( the woman herself lived in one-room hut that she built by herself). The next days she took us around in her car, showed us her favorite places and introduced us to her daily life. She really showed me what it means to be open-minded, trustful and open-hearted. I have no picture of her, but I a book she presented to me (1984 - George Orwell) for saying good bye and of course all the memories in my head.

Teach, Learn, Share

What a nice section. All of these are really important and big parts of my (and hopefully everyone elses) life.
"Learn everything you can from everyone you can. There'll always come a time when you'll be grateful you did."
That quote I wrote down a while ago and it describes my general attitude to learning really well. For teaching and sharing you can nearly say the same. There is always something you can share with others, be it knowledge, a skill or an object. And by sharing you always get something back - cause there are always two parts included.

What I Can Share with Hosts

First of all, I can always share happiness and a smile. Further I can hopefully share interesting conversations, my experiences, my view of the world, my interests, my knowledge. More concrete I can for sure share cleanliness and maybe some cooking skills. And of course you will always experience me as a considerate, friendly and helpful guest.
