I'm hoping to be able to travel to places in a completely different way from the usual tourist/guide books way of travelling. I believe that the only way to really get to know a new place is by meeting people who live there and who can show you around and describe what it's like to live in a specific place! I really think this would make any journey a real invaluable experience.

I have discovered film photography in the last few years and I absolutely love it! I'm also a bit of a film geek and especially love art house films and old black and white films - the older the better :)

I enjoy many different types of music - classical, jazz, gypsy, folk/traditional, etc. But opera is my real passion!! Sometimes I think that my mission in life is to go around the world converting people to it :) I also love reading, circus and juggling (although I haven't been doing it for a while..) and folk dancing (mainly Northern Italian and French folk music).
