ABOUT ME

I was born in Montreal, Canada, and came back to crete with my family when i was about 2. I grew up in Heraklion Crete and went back to montreal to study sociology and anthropology. There i was introduced to the "backpack-traveling culture" and started to save money for traveling. I've traveled around for a while, took my masters degree in utrecht, NL, and came back to crete 2 years ago and had what we sociologists call a "reverse culture shock" : P (which still continues to shock me).
Being close to the sea is very important in my life. I love the sun, warm weather, warm sand, doing nothing on the beach, and many more beach-related stuff. Thats why i decided to come back and settle in crete. And then I realized that its difficult to settle as i miss many things from abroad, and for many other reasons that i will not list here. But i try, i try : )
I am eternally looking for ways to a) live by the beach, b) find a job that allows me to travel. Or, even better, make traveling my job.
In general, I think I am an easy-going person always focusing on the bright side of life (or at least i try to : )and always looking for "excuses" to unsettle from the safety of what i have accomplished!
And i love my cat. Thats it.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is complicated and unclear even to myself. But at the end i think it sums up to this: "dont worry...be happy"

It was great, I made close friends...but now I am leaving because CS has betrayed its original mission and spirit and targets profit. I am now transferring my hopes for a world of sharing and caring, where money doesn't intervene with everything, in http://www.bewelcome.org/

Interests

In general I am a lazy person. Thats why my main interest is laying on the beach, thinking. Except that, i like watching movies, reading books, writing, making jewelry, cooking and eating, learning how to do stuff on my own.

Music, Movies, and Books

My movie-music-books tastes change through time.
I usually read greek literature and i like weird fairy tales. I cannot name the kinds of music i listen to, and people make fun of me for that (what kind of music is manu chao for example?). Maybe some rock, reggae (only in the summer), spanish music of the almodovar type, greek traditional, ethnic, tarantino soundtracks ect. Anything that sounds good.
I love watching movies and i enjoy watching almost everything (except stupid comedies like american pie, war and pure action movies), usually european cinema, weird films and films that challenge me to think.
