About Me

Hello, my name is Stella!
Like Albert Einstein I am born in Ulm, a town in the south of Germany (which is probably the only thing I have in common with him...) Instead of Physics, I studied Geography and German philology in the wonderful and sunshiny city Freiburg and am now working at the University of Aberdeen as a language assistant.

As probably everyone else here on Couchsurfing, I love travelling, meeting new people and seeing new things. As probably a lot less people I am also really into some odd nerdy things like juggling and geocaching.
I am a curious and passionate explorer and learner. Nature is very important to me and I am trying to be a bit more environmental friendly every day. People who know me say that I'm a good listener and that I smile a lot.
I am looking forward to all the people places and things I will encounter on my journey. I hope to meet you soon!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really like the way to discover a city through staying with locals. It is a more intimate and firsthand way of knowing a place and it offers an opportunity to have more time to know people from each place... And I love the idea that people all around the world can exchange their stories and help each other out :)

Interests

I love looking at art though I know nothing about it. I like to learn new languages (always happy if you can teach me some words in your favourite language!) and getting lost in new cities. I like doing outdoor-things like long biking or hiking trips and I enjoy geocaching as a fun way of discovering new places. I also enjoy relaxing and reading a book or chatting in front of a good cup of tea.
I fell in love with circus arts years ago and especially like the way how they connect people from all over the world. I mostly do juggling with balls and clubs, passing (group-juggling), unicycling and slacklining and try to visit as much circus-festivals as possible :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I like the idea that everyone can learn from everyone and I'm looking forward to share good times and quality conversations and travel stories with you!

I'm always happy for good music recommendations, tips for new and interesting books, art and food, and hints for new travel destinations.

Also, I can offer to teach you how to juggle, German language or other very useful skills like five different types to tie your shoelaces. (yep, there is more than one way to do it :)
