Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm Stella and I'm brazilian, living in São Paulo. I'm an artist and also working on cinema as a production designer/ assistant / set designer/ scenographer. I have a beautiful and lovely dog, that loves making new friends.
Today my research as a visual artist makes a connection with memory and everyday life, in addition to seeking a simple, accessible and collective language.I bring a lot of my film work into my visual research. I believe in struggles and collective work. I also work together with the artist Adriano Franchini, called "Zero", and we've already held a few exhibitions in São Paulo.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I started couchsurfing in Europe (July 2015) during my university exchange, and the first couch was in Croatia. This was an amazing first experience, because I could see how we can share a lot of of things, ways of thinking, cultures, routines, and how these experiences can make you be a better person, and even make friends that you will never forget.
I host always that is possible too, and I like to meet people even when they are not hosting me. So, I'm always open to go out and meet other people from here.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed always that I'm travelling. I already stayed with some people in France, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Poland, etc. I already hosted some people while I was living in France and in Brazil.
Interests
I like some things of my job, like photography, painting, textile art. I also like to be always learning about Production Design and Scenography, so I always search for the making of.
Even working in the art department, I'm also into video recordings and work in that sense.
I like going to the movies alone, and I also love going to parties with my friends.
I usually look for new and non-touristy places to visit, and I like everything that is real life with real people.
I used to do Crossfit, climbing, aerial silk acrobatics and slackline. Right now, I'm not active because of the busy work, but I hope to get back to climbing soon here in São Paulo! With some frequency I search for some natural places, to hike, camping, and be outside from the city. I enjoy a lot to be in the nature.
I really like to eat and drink good.

Music, Movies, and Books
In the morning I like to hear a groove, jazz, erykah badu vibes. When I need to concentrate on work or reading, I listen to lo-fi or electro. When I'm sad, I listen to sad or indie pop (like a lot of Lana Del Rey), and some kind of sad brazilian music. When I go out dancing, it can be to a samba, or to a party that plays everything like pop/rock, or to spend hours listening to techno and house with crazy lights.
I'm a movie fan, and I always try to watch movies from different genres and countries. But my favorite type of movie to pass the time and not think too much is action, adventure, racing, science fiction, the worse the movie the better.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to cook to my guests some vegan food and to be creative in the kitchen. Of course, this can include to cook some typical dish from Brazil.
