About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Keep loving my life as much as I do now.
ABOUT ME
Lived in NYC my whole life and currently work as a fundraiser for a kick-ass nonprofit that works to end LGBTQ youth homelessness. I read a book a week and buy far more than I will ever finish. Favorite cities are Barcelona, Berlin, and Stockholm. Without fail, I WILL smile at a dog if I see one. Even if it's just a picture of one.
PHILOSOPHY
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love meeting new people, and I try to surf as often as possible whenever traveling. Hosting has been limited because I have a roommate and a cat a very small apartment. I'd love to start hosting once I get my own place.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Internationally: Holland, Ireland, Belgium, and Finland.
Domestically: Knoxville, Tennessee and Asheville, North Carolina
Interests
I spend an inordinate amount of time reading. I love museums. I have a terrible sense of direction and get lost super easily, so I'm good at wandering around. I like thrifting, old books, and beards. I started rock climbing several months ago and it's one of the best things I've ever done for myself.

Music, Movies, and Books
music: explosions in the sky, wilco, broken social scene, ryan adams, arcade fire, andrew bird, sufjan stevens, the radio dept, belle and sebastian, elliott smith, solange, wild nothing, madvillain, little dragon, the national, youth lagoon, purity ring, julianna barwick. My dream is to go to Primavera Sound in Barcelona every year. 2017 will be my 4th year!
movies: Fight Club, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Oldboy, Amelie, Battle Royale, Miyazaki. OJ: Made in America, while not technically a movie, was probably the best thing I saw in all of 2016.
books: Pretty standard literary fiction. Can't go wrong with Lorrie Moore or Evelyn Waugh, but you can go VERY wrong with Jonathan Franzen and David Foster Wallace, which I learned the hard way. Sorry!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 18 I hitchhiked across Ireland for two weeks, then cancelled my flight back to NY and lived/worked in a hostel in Belfast for the rest of the summer.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't know how much I have to teach, but I am very open to learning and will always share whatever I can.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Book/movie recommendations! NYC recommendations! I love to cook so I will happily get a lil drunk and make a meal with/for my host as well.
