ABOUT ME

I'm a quirky, energetic, creative lady. I'm gluten/wheat free (since 2004) so I'm super picky about the food that I put into my mouth. I love food though and thoroughly enjoy cooking and creating great tasting, healthy (and not so healthy) meals. Favorite cuisines include, sushi, mexican, greek, thai, vietnamese, indian, and middle eastern.

My friends describe me as the perfect mix of charming and crass. I'm usually pretty laid back, but I am a very passionate and driven person. I always try to be optimistic. Notice I said try, actual results may vary. ;) I love to laugh and make others laugh. I'm not afraid to embarrass myself and I'm actually quite good at it!

Interests

I have been a makeup artist for over a decade and I absolutely love what I do! I'm so grateful to be working in an industry that I really love. I am constantly challenged and I get to meet and work interesting and creative people every day.

I fully immerse myself in a creative lifestyle. Whether it's painting, sewing or being crafty, I love it all. I enjoy going to galleries and museums and taking pictures of interesting things and moments in life.

I love exploring. Whether it's going camping, to a cottage or off to explore a new and exciting city, I love an adventure. I'm an architecture geek and love all the amazing details found in buildings and cities.

I thrive on good (gluten free) food, love spending time with my friends and adore my cats. I'm a music junkie and I love to dance, especially to 80's synth pop! I live for new experiences and new people, good conversation, creativity, sensuality and sunshine.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I used to read all the time and have great intentions to still do, but it just makes me sleepy lately. I enjoy some fiction but really enjoy reference books that teach me things.

Movies: I love movies and watch a lot...so much that I sometimes forget what I've seen unless it has made a huge impact on me. List of all time faves to come....Stand By Me, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, LOTR, Star Wars, The Matrix, Amelie, Donnie Darko, Fight Club, Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, Braveheart, Parenthood, Shortbus.

Music: I am an avid lover of music. I listen to and appreciate most types of music, and am always willing and eager to hear something new.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing on the southern most tip of Canada is an amazing experience!
I was totally in awe of how big Central Park looks from the Empire State Building!
