Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: The Red Violin, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Almost Famous, Up, Wall-E, Love Actually
(Unrelated, but TV: DOCTOR WHO!)

Music: Frightened Rabbit, The National, Okkervil River, Florence and the Machine, Animal Collective, The Avett Brothers

Books: Anything by Jack Kerouac, Allan Ginsberg or William Burroughs. Also a big fan of Junot Diaz, Tom Robbins, Douglas Adams, Neil Gaiman, and David Levithan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love concerts. The best concert I ever went to was one of Reptar's early shows in Athens, GA. Everyone in the venue was dancing and we were all crammed together, but moving as if we were one. It was cathartic to get stress out by dancing and to bond with the total strangers around me. By the time we left the concert, the freezing winter air actually felt really nice, the perfect temperature.

I also love history and museums. It's a real thrill to me to know my hand has been within 6 inches of a notebook Leonardo da Vinci wrote brilliant things in, or that there were a whole 2 inches between my hand and the confederate constitution, or that I've been in the house of someone who changed history in some way.
