ABOUT ME

It is hard to describe myself and at the same time being myself. But I think I am quite opened person, sometimes I have crazy ideas that might surprise people around me (like camping on the table in the kitchen in Thorsmork camp in Iceland :)...), but generally I am trying to be rational and efficient in my life though I am not much of a planning person (especially when traveling, just go with the flow). Some people say I fill them up with positive energy every time we meet, but when I am not traveling or doing some volunteering, I love to have my own space (to get myself filled up with energy :)...). But this is much more complex topic, so you better meet me personally :).

PHILOSOPHY

Well, I am always trying to see things from more perspectives (still learning it from the people around me) to be able to see the objective truth. I do not follow any special philosophy or religion. I believe (proved on myself) in the power of the meditation and I am daily training my mind (sometimes it wanders too much :)...) to stay in the presence. Just trying to be my own master and find my own path.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been hosted all around the world many many times and now it is time to pay back to the community. I am always eager to host people if circumstances allow me to.

Interests

Music- Led Zeppelin, Air, The Flaming Lips, The White Stripes, Morrissey, Tame Impala...many many others, we can spen hours and hours by discussing music.
Playing guitar, reading books, adventures in foreign countries, drawing, making hand made jewellery....
I am also a big fan of excellent teas and I love cooking, especially baking sourdough bread, Indian cousine and many others.

Music, Movies, and Books

Led Zeppelin, everything that was composed by Jack White, some of Scandinavian musicians (Anna von Hauswolff, Susanne Sundfor, Mum...).
I love reading books, lately fell in love with Haruki Murakami, but there are many other authors I like such as John Fowles, Salinger or Styron.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first experience with CS in Olomouc (Czech Rep.) was fabulous, I've met really great people there and I couldn't believe, that something like that is possible.
Amazing is also nature in my homeland Slovakia. This winter I visited one of our national parks. I was felt ashamed, because we Slovaks always want to travel abroad and explore new countries, but we are not fully aware of what a treasure we have in our homeland.

In the spring 2012, I visited Transylvania with my friend. We have met Dracula, who showed us his castle of Bran where he was imprisoned a long time ago.

Summer 2012 - trip to Hamburg to see Jack White touring with his band performing his first solo album called Blunderbuss. We did not have tickets until the very last moment before the concert. Got it from one lady just standing nearby. Well. sometimes the universe helps :)

In January 2013 I flew to Iceland to volunteer there one year. That was my dream for many years, I worked as a camp leader for one NGO.

In October 2014 I did my 6 month Asian trip in India, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka

May 2015 - May 2016 - I worked as a chef in a four star Icelandic hotel and learned so much about lamb cooking and different peculiar Icelandic dishes.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to bake a really good bread (any you like, sourdough, Indian flat bread, white bread). I can also make a pretty decent sushi and prepare some Indian meals.
I can teach you some guitar playing. And recently I started to do some advanced origami too.
