About Me

CURRENT MISSION

live, laugh and love.

ABOUT ME

I take pride in building my heat and cold tolerances and biking home with eggs and beer in my backpack. I am eternally impressed by mountains and the desert. I love dinnertime. I'm a fan of meeting strangers. I'm a porch-sitter for life.

PHILOSOPHY

life is good when you share food and your home.

Music, Movies, and Books

music: hip-hop, funk, soul, country-blues… a little bit of everything. I also play fiddle/ukelele sometimes.
books: cookbooks, and the depressing kind (i.e. about prisons, urban renewal, education, etc.). Paul Beatty's White Boy Shuffle was the best thing I've read in awhile.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

bicycle ride down through deep south into nola, following the mighty mississippi. more interstates, chasing dogs and gunshots than I would have liked but worth it just the same.

hangin with my 3 year old neighbors, who loved me for just being. I've never seen that much love given to strangers, or applesauce in my kitchen go so fast.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to cook my mama's dishes. I'd love to learn some home repair/carpentry skills… and mandolin!

St. Louis has a time bank called Cowry Collective.. check it out! http://thecowrycollective.blogspot.com
