My name is Stephanie Barlow, I'm a 23-year old enthusiastic and independent young woman from the Gold Coast, Australia. I completed Year 12 at St. Michaels College in 2011, my stronger subjects were English and Hospitality, two fields I have found very beneficial to me throughout my life. I enjoy traveling and reaping the rewards of hard-work, the struggle of financing and planning a trip, in my opinion, is what makes the end product that bit sweeter. I have a passion for helping others, whether it be in the workplace at the cafe I manage - The Pink Lotus, on the Gold Coast, or, at the netball club I volunteer at on weekends. In summary, I have longed to bring smiles upon children faces for years. However, my passion for traveling has always trumped this desire. I believe, through the direct involvement with Workaway I can unite my two passions and believe I would be a reliable and valuable asset to any organisation.

I am on couchsurfing to connect with other people in the most local and authentic way. I believe the locals know how to get the best experience out of any given place. Traveling and holidaying, are two completely different things. Getting off the tourist train and into the culture is the best way to explore any place.
