About Me

I love to learn, to eat, and to travel.
Born and raised in Hawaii and moved out to Los Angeles when I was 14. I love to take weekend trips up to northern California because I believe it has some of the most beautiful views in all of America. Since I was a kid, and my parents told me about their backpacking adventure, all I've wanted to do is see the world. Now, I'm finally fulfilling that and traveling across Europe for the next month and a half!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently backpacking Europe with my partner, Nicolas, and we both agree that it's a great way to spend time in a country and to get a real, inside feel to a country.

Nicolas and I cannot afford to live together, as we've set this trip as our financial priority, which is why, FOR NOW, we cannot accept guests. But hopefully in the near future we will have an apartment in LA together and we'd love to start hosting surfers and getting a cultural experience right in our living room.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
Anything strange, really. The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, the Peanut Butter Conspiracy, Save Ferris, Riff Raff, Chance the Rapper, Childish Gambino, Spooky Black, Devendra, the Beach Boys, the Specials, La Femme, Kim and the Created and the list goes on...
BOOKS
I'm a bit of a bookworm. I'm a Shakespeare geek, but, although maybe a bit cliché, Hamlet is my favorite. Also a big fan on literally every piece of writing Kurt Vonnegut has published. Breakfast of Champions being my favorite there.
MOVIES
I love all types of movies. Besides horror. I'm quite the scardy-cat. Love all Disney movies. Mulan is my favorite princess. Love Tarintino films, Kill Bill being my favorite, love cerebral films that make you think, love movies with great filming aspects, like the shining.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cliff jumping off the coast of California!

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe traveling can be just as, if not more, eye opening and educational than school itself. It introduces you to a completely new culture, and forces you to open your mind to other ways of living than your own. Swapping travel stories proves to be one of the most interesting part of travel. I love to learn about new places, new practices, new traditions that I had not heard of before.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Nicolas and I are so easy going, we're happy with any arrangement you can give us. We are super easy to talk to and love to make conversation, but we're also able to recognize when someone wants space, and more than happy to oblige. We're also very good at cleaning up after ourselves, it'll look like no one was ever there! And we're more than happy to contribute to cooking, or anything around the house.
