I am on a two-year world trip. So far I took the Trans-Siberian railway from Moscow to Beijing, traveled 6 months in Australia, 3 months in South East Asia, took a transpacific cruise from Sydney via Fiji, Bora Bora and Tahiti to Hawaii and I am now in the United States for a while until I continue to South America and Africa for a couple more months.

Before I went on this world trip I did my Masters and PhD in Business Information Systems at the University of Cologne and Yale University. I then sold most of my stuff and started travelling.

I am also doing a charity project while on this trip. In my luggage, I have 11 red noses (a typical symbol for carnival in Cologne) that I'm wearing with people all over the world to take photos on famous or crazy places. Thereby, I would like to raise funds for a charitable cause. My world trip will take place over 6 continents and ends in Africa, where I will participate in a project to help children in need and personally ensure that the donations are used wisely.
