About Me

Currently I am at the end of my one year Asia trip.

I grew up internationally in Asia and Europe which was hugely frustrating as a kid, leaving friends behind, but looking back it has given me much in return. Being a third culture kid has made me a wanderer. I have never lived in a place longer than 5 years as I get drawn onto the road after some time. May this be a fear of settling? Time will tell.

In my free time I enjoy doing sports as it makes me feel alive. I enjoy rock climbing, beach volleyball, running and do body weight exercises to back these up.

Some other things I enjoy doing are: cooking, meditating and visiting events (Concerts, light installations, photography exhibitions in particular).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to meet new people from all over the world.
I would like to get a different perspective on life by learning as much as I can about the customs and cultures in foreign countries.
With your help that would make things much easier.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have worked as a volunteer teacher in a school for street children in Indonesia teaching maths, English and science. It was a tough but incredibly rewarding experience and has made me appreciate the work that teachers do.

I also volunteered with the NGO All Hands and Hearts in Nepal for 2 months rebuilding a school that got damaged by the earthquakes in 2015. It was my most unforgetful and rewarding experience yet in my life where I could give much of my knowledge in the construction industry to help develop Nepal. The connections with the people I met here will last a lifetime.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Many people love my chocolate cake. As long as you have basic baking tools and an oven I can make you one.

I can share with you what it is like growing up in many foreign countries and can tell you about my travel stories.

I would consider myself a practical person so if you need help in your house/flat to fix things or build something I'd be happy to help.
