About Me

ABOUT ME

I guess I'm just a regular guy who doesn't pretend to know it all. Other people would probably describe me as laid-back, reliable, considerate, clean, and respectful, among other things. I'm always down to have a beer/wine or two.

I just moved back to Germany after having lived in Davis, California for a bit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

To me, meeting up with locals is the best way of travelling. That way you get the most out of a place. I'm always happy to host people and show them around, because it makes you look at your hometown from a new perspective.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have much Couchsurfing experience yet. However, my last housemates in Germany participated in couchsurfing and I enjoyed hosting people every once in a while and showing them around the city of Mainz (Germany). After that, I thought I might as well give it a try, because I like the concept of it. That makes me a newbie, so please bear with me... I had an amazing couchsurfing experience in Puebla (Mexico) last winter though!

Interests

I enjoy travelling, learning new languages, reading, and having a beer or two every now and then. Nothing unusual going on there... I'm interested in what's going on in the world and would love to learn from you!

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to mention. I always have hard time narrowing this down. When it comes down to it, I'd say "The Wire" is my favorite TV show and "Los Detectives Salvajes" by Roberto Bolaño my favorite book.

What I Can Share with Hosts

When staying over at someone else's place, I guess it's common practice to be considerate as possible. You won't catch me causing a mess or being too loud at your place. You might, however, expect me to bring a selection of beer, wine, or non-alcoholic beverages (if preferred) over.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, South Africa, United States
