Overview
About Me
Hey !
I'm Stephane, i'm 35, and i living in Lyon city, France.
Talk about me and what I like? I think maybe it's better to talk about it during a real meeting, but I will still make the effort to talk a little about it here. :)
I was born in Lyon, but I left very young to live in the countryside, where I grew up. At 20 years, I came back to live alone in Lyon. I have the experience of the countryside and the city, nothing better!
I love the city for what is happening there, the life i find in these streets, . But as much the countryside to find the beauty of nature, my tranquility, and peace of mind.
I like hanging out on the streets, watching people and just be young and stupid. And I love being on the water and having fun doing ricochets or just look to the sky, the stars and dreaming.
I have traveled a lot since I was 18, going alone, or with friends, through France, and outside, for various music shows (mostly Hardcore Punk shows). I have met many bands and people from everywhere, but even though I love my friends and go on an adventure surrounded by good people, i'm not afraid to leave alone.
And i'm in love from the Italian and Irish culture.
I dream of one day seeing cities like Boston, Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago or New Orleans. As well as the countryside of the "deep south" of America.
And of course I would like to see Japan.
I would especially like to see and discover a lot of things and find one day somewhere my place in a peaceful place where I would end my days.
I am very interested in sociology and psychology. I do not see the world in black and white, only in shades of gray. I definitely like the complexity and depth of the human being
I like to observe, analyze and learn. Understanding the people and the world around me. I become more open to others, more empathetic, and I learn a lot about myself that way. This is what helps me become a better person every day.
And life is long, I'm not perfect, and I don't intend to be, and I still have a lot to learn.
As Minor Threat said "I might be an adult, I'm a minor at heart".
I'm still a child at heart and I'm not interested in this image of the basic adult with a house, a good job and a mundane life. I never fit into that mold.
I love the toys, movies and cartoons from my childhood, and all the things that may seem silly to people who may have lost that "childlike soul".
I don't need to drink, smoke all the time, or take drugs to have a good evening and a moment of emotion and sincerity with others: i just need the good people and good vibrations.
But HEY! I also like to drink sometimes, smoke sometimes... and I'm not against fun drugs when the time is right.
I am a real person, who does not follow others. This is both my great quality and my great flaw.
To conclude, I would just like to say that I don't like bullies, those who seek to belittle and crush others whether it be by physical or psychological violence.
I am a boy close to the working class, I am not rich, and I have a lot of trouble with people who will judge my life and those of others, on the interests we may have for them. It's not easy every day to be short of money and not be able to live my life as much as I'd like, but I'm not ashamed of it
I don't like people who behave like "bourgeois" (whether you are or not) and who will look at me as someone who is not good enough for them.
I avoid personalities with narcissistic, self-centered tendencies and who do not hesitate to use others for their own benefit.
This is very common and normalized in this day and age, and even on "Couchsurfing" today many people use this to take advantage of others now.
If you are like this, you have come to the wrong place.
I think that's enough, if you want to know more, it's up to you to meet me and share your vision of the world with me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During the year 2022, I had the chance to play a role in a short movie for a movie school in Lyon.
Initially I was just supposed to meet the director and the screenwriter to help them and do some extra work. I finally got a role.
I played a neo-Nazi in an anti-racism movie.
It allowed me to get out of my sad life routine and give me the opportunity to do something I really love, and to see what I was capable of.

The death of my cat, with whom I grew up.
It seems strange said like that, but for a few years, I was caught up in the banality of life and the boredom of everyday life, I no longer began to feel anything. I did not know true love, and I had to be very pessimistic and cynical, to survive my daily life and the sadness and anger that was within me.
My mother called me to tell me that she was taking my cat, who due to her age was starting to go blind, no longer able to walk and suffering from old age, to the vet to let her go.
I left work early, took the train to see her one last time and accompany her until the end.
I stayed close to her and burst into tears when she started to fall asleep, but I stayed until the end. I haven't cried in years.
It was a very difficult ordeal, but also an incredible moment for me.
Feeling this love that I had for her, having been there for her until the end and understanding that I could love someone with such strong and sincere love, behind the pain, it also gave me an immense feeling of happiness, which somehow allowed me to live again.
It is for me a real experience, and perhaps one of the only real moments of love that I have known in my life.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a small apartment in the city center.
My friends living in front of my home, I can leave my apartment to the person(s) who i host. So despite my small apartment, you can have a cozy apartment for you and have your privacy.
The only real shortcoming is that i can not host someone too long at home (like two weeks), 'cause i have to respect the desire of tranquility of my friends too, ahah.
And i have a cat, call Bart.
He is very nice and cute, really friendly if you like hugs, but he can also make little bad things. He's like me: he's a little punk. But don't be afraid, he's a little "love" too.
By the way, if you are allergic, I can take it with me to my friends house, the time of your stay.
Behind all of this, my apartment will be perfect to receive you, have your peace and be in the heart of Lyon. You will have the various neighborhoods, shops, bars, clubs. etc., all around you.
I know the various districts of Lyon and I can help you discover, know Lyon, or help you to find your way around the city alone. I know many people in this city, do not be surprised at this, but you can also meet a lot of very different people with me.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Denmark, England, Italy, Netherlands
