About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined CouchSurfing to get a local perspective of new cities during my All American Road Trip.

My experiences with this community have been wonderful. I am blown away by the kindness that I've encountered. Though so far I have only been a surfer, I look forward to paying forward the generosity and having others be my guest (and put my service to test) in the future. (In a less congested living situation... Someday.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During the summer of 2015, I roadtripped across the US with two of my friends. 13,254 miles, 67 days, 35 (overnight) stops, 34 states, and 3 countries later – WE DID IT. It truly was an amazing experience. #allamericanroadtrip2015
(Fun fact: 10 of our overnight stops were with hosts that we met right here on Couchsurfing.com!)

I convinced my friends to perform in a flash mob with me for my 23rd birthday. That was pretty cool. (Update: Worked on a more legit/professional flashmob not for, but coincidentally near, my 26th birthday. That was even cooler, and I can't wait to share details once I'm allowed to!)

When I was 14 I visited family in Germany and stayed for a month. I love how connected Europe is. Hop on a train and go anywhere! (We went to Italy for a few days as well.) I've enjoyed trains ever since, and it's probably part of the reason I ended up in Chicago. I will return to Europe again someday!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love making friends, so it would be wonderful to share experiences and spend time with my hosts as I explore their cities.

If I dine/cook at my host's home, I do make a pretty good jalapeño soup...
