About Me

In 2016, I cut the corporate cord and left to live my best years meandering the world... aand now I’m back.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m only one person, so can only hope to learn from others what I haven’t had the chance to/can’t experience myself.

Interests

I enjoy learning about culture, languages, food, world events, tech-related things that are not too techy, and pop culture-- because let's be real, we all googled Jennifer Lawrence's leaked nudes.

Can get lost in a market for days at a time, most likely buying nothing at all. I often forget that I’m not particularly fond of hiking and tend to remember when I’m 10 mins in and too invested to turn around. I love water sports and being close to water in general but I can’t swim.

Music, Movies, and Books

Television - I was pretty TV deprived as a kid, so yeah, I’m the American that doesn’t get classic American movie references. However, since moving into my own home and getting a cable hook up for the first time, I've been desperately making up for loss time by bingeing everything and anything. Some of my favs are Game of Thrones (surprise!), The Wire, Revenge, and True Blood.

Music - Growing up, my parents owned a Japanese Restaurant that turned into an All Americana Karaoke Bar on Friday nights and a Hip Hop Dance Club on Saturdays, which I occasionally bartended from the age of 12-16. With that said, I know every word to every Garth Brooks and Dixie Chicks song ever existed, but can also get jiggy to some Khia and DMX.

Nowadays I listen to a bit of everything but prefer 90’s hitters and hip hop. Traveling got me into rock and edm/house.

Books - Mostly into non-fiction— self development, educational, history etc.

Teach, Learn, Share

I haven't paid for a single flight since 2011 by way of travel/credit card hacking. Down to share the knowledge and help those around me do the same! However, through following through on this claim for my fellow csers. We learned that it may not be possible in countries outside of the US, and if so, it would probably require me to live there and understand the system before I could give any useful advice, so sorry my non-Americans, you’ll just have to hang out with me for my personality.

What I Can Share with Hosts
