About Me

I am a 25 year old girl from Germany. I just finished my bachelor (Speech and Language Therapist) and are now doing a Master of Linguistics in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
What can I tell you about me? I come from quiet a big family and I am therefore used to bustle and enjoy having people around me. I would describe myself as an open-minded and easy-going person. Close to Nijmegen, I live in a huge student house with 8 other students, a rat called Charly, which was saved from a snake in a pet shop, and sometimes there are two dogs running around. For me, the opportunity of being part of such a wonderful group, which couldn’t be more heterogeneous and more adorable, is one of the most wonderful experiences as student so far.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The latest reason for me to subscribe for Couchsurfing is, that I am going to travel with my boyfriend through the east of Europe in August 2015. More generally, I think that couchsurfing is a great way to meet people from everywhere without even leaving your own home. It is a perfect additions to my travel plans this year.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Actually the most amazing thing I've done, was travelling to the hometown of my grandparents together with my grandfather and my sisters. He is a retired carpenter. He showed us the place where he was raised and lived until he was a teenager. And when we walked through the village he stopped at nearly every second door, that he or a friend of his had made. Hetold us, what he had been up to when the door was build and installed. It was a very impressing and touching trip.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like good and delicious food, so I will definitely cook for you and have a glass of wine (for I really love good wine). I can also show you the best place in Nijmegen to get fries, and the best place to have a beer and enjoy very good live music. And of course I can take you to he good places when it comes to dancing. I am very motivated most of the time, so I will be very happy to join you and make your trip a good one.
