About Me
Hello!
My name is Stephanie, and my husband's name is Didace. (I am a female I don't know why couchsurfer has me as a male- trying to fix that!- sorry!)
We met when I was serving in Rwanda as a Peace Corps volunteer and he followed me out here to the US in the fall of last year to pursue my masters degree in TESL (teaching English to speakers of other languages). He is anxious to begin in masters soon as well and is looking into a MA in Econometrics (so much math?!). Haha :-)
Anyhow, we both love traveling, exploring, animals, languages, learning, gardening, and so much more. We love learning about new cultures, immersing ourselves in new cultures and learning about the people around us. We love to take in new places from walking, to biking around, to hearing ideas and opinions from others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Didace and I want to travel and get to know the areas around us within driving distance. We love the give and take of this site and would love to be able to travel on a budget and afford someone the same experience. I know there are so many cool people on here with so much to share and I've heard some great things. So I decided we had to try it out!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Peace Corps!
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach English to refugee background students at the local community college in Tucson. Love my job and looking forward to serving and working with a larger impact in my future.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Didace and I love to share about our experiences traveling in Africa (Rwanda and Uganda), and just about life in general. We are very laid back and don't prefer any parties, drinking, etc. Looking for just some easy conversation/ get to know you. No expectations. We just appreciate the ability to travel on a budget! :-)
