About Me

Hi! My name is Stephanie. It's a pleasure to meet you! I have always dreamed of traveling the world. Half of my family is Filipino. My grandmother would tell me stories of all the plaves she'd been, and of our family still living overseas. My life up until recently had been very stable and did not allow me the freedom to roam. Things are different now and I am ready to make new friends and see new places. I enjoy reading, cooking, and anything that gets me outdoors. I also love animals. If you want to know anything else, just ask. I can't wait to mee you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I visit a new town or country, I enjoy being able to see that place through the eyes of someone who actually lives there. I want to eat what you eat, walk where you walk, play where you play. There is no other way to experience a new place fully. I think that couchsurfing is a great and unique way to experience that.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all types of music! My current favorite album is "Heard It In a Pastlife" by Maggie Rogers. If you could see my playlist though, it skips around from 70s rock to electronic to today's pop. Favorite movie... that's hard to decide. I love Gladiator, The Notebook, and all Marvel and X-Men movies. My favorite book is Gone with the Wind. Favorite book series is Harry Potter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most recent thing I accomplished was my first solo trip. I drove myself down to Galveston, Texas and camped on the beach there for an entire week! While this may seem small to some of you, it was huge for me. It allowed me to realize that I have more inner confidence than I ever expected. It also opened my eyes to the fact that there is so much more out there to see. We do not need to fear our neighbors. 99% of them are amazing people with their own amazing story, just waiting to be heard.

Teach, Learn, Share

I do have a "hidden talent". I spin fire poi! If anyone would like to learn, I would love to teach you the basics. It is great exercise, and no, you don't have to start with fire. I also really enjoy cooking and would love to pass on some of my family's recipes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I do not have much, but I am always willing to help! I can share my assistance with anything you might need done. I will also always share my positive energy and smile with you! I can even fix up dinner one night if you'd like.

Countries I’ve Visited
