I traveled quite a bit as a kid, but since I've been an adult I've done far less traveling than I'd like. My goal is to change that. I play roller derby, and it tends to take up the majority of my time, travel, and funds.

I got to visit Thailand for the first time this past October, and immediately recaught the travel bug I had when I was younger. The goal now is to maintain the momentum and keep traveling as often as work permits. Dublin in March!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would much rather meet and stay with people on adventures abroad than stay in hotels or hostels. I think it is a lot more satisfying to get to know local people and see what they enjoy most about their town instead of do the tourist stuff. Plus, I think it's be fun to spend my money buying my hosts a few beers at their favie pub instead of hoping to meet people at the nearest/ most popular one.

Interests

I love to see beautiful places - natural and spiritual being my top choices. I love to go on adventures and try new things and play with animals. And sometimes take a nap in between excursions, to refill those batteries.

Music, Movies, and Books

Live music fuels my soul. Rock (of pretty much all kinds - classic, hard, punk, pop, folk..), lots of blues and jazz and funk - anything jammin', spiritual type stuff, chanting, banjo... just put me in front of live band with some hearty tunes and I'll be set til I pass out.
