About Me

Trying to find balance in everything.

I love being active (yoga, bicycling, dancing) but also quiet time at coffee shops for journaling and reading. I spend a fair amount of time at home in the winter, organizing and doing craft projects, saving up money, and making plans to be out and about in the warmer months. In summer I like to bike everywhere, eat, drink, and enjoy the sunshine on my own or with friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I appreciate the desire to travel but not have to shell out a lot of cash for a hotel, especially when traveling alone - I'm in the same boat!

I hope that I can help someone enjoy their Twin Cities adventure, and get to know people outside my usual circle of friends and coworkers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Biked 70 miles in a day. I'd do it differently next time (the recovery was rough!), but I made it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I've spent a few years teaching ballroom dance. I'm passionate about productivity and will happily share my favorite tools and keyboard shortcuts. I also know how to crochet. I'm trying out hooping and looking to learn tricks once the waist hooping becomes effortless.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I taught ballroom and Latin dance for a few years, and can get someone salsa-ing or waltzing in a half hour or less. I'm a pro at doing dishes by hand, and am generally very thorough when I clean. I'm skilled at organizing things, too, and love to put things in places that make sense based on how/when someone uses them (logical organization!). I can appreciate a quiet night in as well as getting out and exploring on a whim. I'm generally pretty low-maintenance. :)
