Overview
About Me
I'm a 24 year old Vancouverite who has just completed her undergraduate degree at UBC, very excited to get my nose out my books and experience the rest of the world!
I love staying active - mainly training martial arts, Crossfit and doing a little bit of tennis recreationally. Would be down to go for a run (although I am definitely not the best at running) or do any sort of work out!!
Aside from that, I'm particularly interested in learning about the histories of different places (especially those pertaining to WWI and WWII) and visiting local art galleries and museums. I even find personal histories just as enthralling. So if you have any kind of stories to share about people or places, I'm most definitely all ears!
I also loveee to cook, so I'd relish the opportunity to gear my savings on making a lovely dinner for me and a generous host over throwing it at a hostel any day!
Finally, I'm the typical super polite, overly-apologetic Canadian you can count on to be the best guest!
Favourite board games: Scrabble, Cranium, Taboo, Picture, CAH.
<3 cats and dogs!
---- CURRENT MISSION ----
To discover the world in which I live and hopefully discover a piece of myself along the way.
To be a better person.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Love getting to know new people and getting local insider advice on getting around town. Trying to travel most of Europe and SE Asia for around a year without cleaning out my savings is also a plus.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm pretty open with my music preferences. The only thing that may or may not enthuse me is heavy metal - but my boyfriend likes that kind of stuff, so I'm used to hearing it anyway :)
As far as books go: Crime and Punishment, House of Leaves, Slaughterhouse Five, and A Fine Balance + most history books concerning WWI and WWII.
Sadly, I'm not much of a move watcher - but I am a big fan of The Lord of the Rings, Darjeeling Limited, and The Lives of Others.
I do however enjoy certain TV series like: Black Sails, GoT, Girls, Vikings, Weeds, Breaking Bad, and OTNB!
And LOVE comedies like Seinfeld, Frasier, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Modern Family, Key & Peele.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Embarking on this year-long Euro/SE Asia trip.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love the opportunity to practice my French! Also if someone manages to teach me how to do a backflip, handstand walks, and a muscle up without breaking any part of my body, I'd be eternally grateful..
Also always interested to learn new recipes (Paleo, vegan, or vegetarian)- healthy/unhealthy... I just love food!
I can teach you some self-defense! Some of my own favourite recipes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Delicious foods! Lively conversations and a six pack of beer upon request.
