Embracing the unknown
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Philadelphia, lived in New York City for the past 5 years, and now live as a citizen of the world vagabonding throughout Europe. I've recently graduated from NYU with a degree in Public Health and Urban Design and left my job as an Environmental Scientist/Industrial Hygienist to pursue the abundant opportunities the world has to offer.
Currently I'm taking the time explore myself and life's journey - wherever that takes me. At some point, I'll merge my passions of helping others and improving quality of life into a career (perhaps through physical or occupational therapy?)
PHILOSOPHY
"Limitations live only in our minds. But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become endless" Jamie Paolinetti
"The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one" Elbert Hubbard
"I'm scared of failure all the time, but I'm not scared enough to stop trying" Ronda Rousey
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am a mindful traveller hoping to develop the best understanding of the culture, people, and essence of each city I visit - how better to do that than through those who live there?!
Interests
Lifelong learning | Meeting people |Being active (running, hiking, yoga, weight training, climbing... anything that involves being outside) | Food, nutrition and cooking | Mindfulness | Appreciating nature | Thrill seeking | Working with children | Festivals and Concerts | Travel
I love all things that allow me to challenge myself - whether that's conquering huge fears or simply trying new things. I'm a bit of a thrill seeker/adrenaline junkie and enjoy all things spontaneous! I'm ready for anything and always down for an adventure. I love laughing, sharing stories, and any opportunity to explore and develop a deep connection with people. I wear my heart on my sleeve and can live without small talk; I prefer being open and getting to know who people truly are.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to share in the beautiful experience of preparing and enjoying a meal together. If the appropriate ingredients can be located, I can make some homemade Vietnamese/South East inspired dishes (showing off my mother's heritage - she's from Vietnam) or healthy but delectable meals and desserts.
