Hej, we are Stephi & Dominik, a married couple from Denmark. Originally we’re Germans but we decided to move to Denmark. We’re not fluently speaking Danish yet but we’re on it!

Stephi already used Couchsurfing several years ago. Then when we met, we more or less forgot about the great opportunity this community offers. That's why we've decided to reintegrate visiting surfers in our travel planning, at least where possible.

This community thrives on give and take. So, of course we are also warmly welcoming you in Denmark whenever you’re on a trip through our beautiful country. Besides the fact that we have to be at home at this time, because we don’t have a separate apartment, we only take surfers who already have reviews or who are new to couchsurfing and have a good story to tell.

We travel at least once a year. We want to discover and explore the countries we travel to. Simply arriving at a hotel and staying there is not our way of traveling. Instead, we always plan with several accommodations.

After a few years break here on Couchsurfing, we now primarily look out for surfers when planning our accommodation. That way we can get to know the real country by meeting real people and getting to know their real culture and personal stories.

We are definitely more interested in landscapes than cities. Nevertheless, we have already discovered some beautiful cities, such as Helsinki and Oslo.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

That way we can get to know the real country and the real people with their real culture. Mass tourism puts us off. We love getting insider tips from people who live in the country we want to discover. Places where tourists rarely stray.

On the other hand, offering a home for people exploring the world is our part in ensuring that not only privileged people can discover the secrets of this world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most impressive experiences we've made so far were seeing aurora lights, swimming with dolphins, enjoying the total silence of northern scandinavian landscape or being outside at -35°C temperature.
