About Me
Hi, my name is Stephanie! I'm a traveler and generally curious wanderer. I've done a decent amount of travel, but I am not even close to being done. I love people, animals, being outdoors, new friends, new experiences and of course travel! In 2013, I graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in Psychology. I'm currently taking some time off school and doing a bit of travel. I've worked in a hostel, I've helped run a B&B, and done plenty of other odd jobs through volunteer exchange sites to keep my travels going.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've always had a love for travel as far back as I can remember. One of my favorite things about travel is meeting new people! I love to see a city from the view of a resident, rather than see all of the typical tourist sites. I enjoy staying in hostels, but I think Couchsurfing could be a great way to meet a few locals while traveling.
Interests
One of my main interests is traveling, of course! Outside of traveling, I love to be outdoors. I've spent countless hours hiking, kayking and camping. I'm always up for an outdoor adventure. A few years ago I began cooking and now enjoy making healthy dishes. I love my dog (though he is a family dog - he doesn't travel with me). I go to baseball games as often as I can, and one of my life goals is to see a game in every major league ballpark. I've studied both Hindi and Spanish in the past. I enjoy meeting new people, making new friends, and having amazing adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm interested in a wide variety of music. Ray LaMontagne is my favorite artist, and I suppose my "go to" music is often similar to that style. I don't watch many movies, but when I do they are usually either mindless comedies (anchorman) or pretty serious, thoughtful documentaries. I read all types of books! Currently, I'm reading a book about anatomy, a book about the psychology of psychopaths from a neurological perspective, and a book about health benefits related to certain foods. Some of my all-time favorite books are The Great Gatsby, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, and Average American Marriage if that gives you an idea about my taste in literature.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I've done was, move to Hawai'i without a plan and 200 dollars in my pocket. Working on a farm there was one of the best experiences I've had.
