About Me

I have been living in Joseph Oregon for 23 years and grew up in both the bay area California and Bend Oregon. I am a college educated professional person who is responsible and trustworthy. I travel a bit with my job and I really enjoy travelling for pleasure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am going on sabbatical for 6 months and looking to do some travel on a tight budget. No income for 6 months! Yikes!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm eclectic when it comes to music, movies & books. I love the 70's music of course but recently I've been into Macklemore. Probably the only kind of music I'm not super fond of is country. I love movies and popcorn! If I could go to a movie every day I would :). I enjoy just really good stories and acting. Sadly American made movies don't inspire the way independent foreign films do, but I did just recently watch The Post and it was pretty good.

I love to read also! Recently read Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel. Loved Shantaraum by Gregory David Roberts but it's been a few years ago now that I read it. I just re-read The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. Probably 3rd or 4th time reading.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done is went to graduate school and got my masters in social work while working part-time and raising three daughters.

Teach, Learn, Share

Yoga? I love yoga and would definitely share, although I have not been trained as an instructor, I probably could show a few poses.

I would love to share cooking. I love to cook healthy foods and am a decent cook.

I learn everywhere I go, about people, culture, foods, the location I am visiting. I'm like a sponge.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my gift of listening. I love hearing stories about families. I'm a far better listener than talker. I can also share quiet moments and a cup of tea.

Countries I’ve Visited

Mexico, Norway
