One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Ireland this year on my study abroad (an experience in itself exhilarating, eye opening and life changing), we stayed in Dublin but took a day trip to Galway. Our day trip included a ride to the Cliffs of Moher, a breathtaking 700 foot drop onto the Atlantic Ocean; but before we took a hike on a family farm in the Burren. They opened up their home, farm and lives to us. We petted their animals, played hurling in the front yard, sang traditional folk Irish songs and had homemade pear pie and coffee. It was wonderful, free spirited and good fun we had with real Irish people. Everything about that trip was warm, and I look forward to more travel opportunities with locals.
