Hello!

Myself and my Partner Sam decided to take a break from the daily grind of work and are travelling for around a year. We had to take a pretty silly route to get here which involved aus - nz - canada - uk - italy - malta - greece - uk - canada! I am from England, Sam is from New Zealand, but we have lived in Australia for 4 and 8 years respectively.

Sam is a Civil Engineering Supervisor, and I am a Civil Engineer, we have both been working in remote Australia for the past couple of years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We hadn't heard of couch surfing until we met a German couple on our travels (thanks Susi and Georg!), we then couchsurfed with them and really enjoyed the whole experience. We are travelling currently, but are looking forward to hosting when we find a place to call home.

Interests

You can usually find us on our mountain bikes! So far on our North American adventure we have biked nearly every day. We usually camp, but its got a bit cold lately so we turned our car into a camper...kinda successfully depending on how tall/heavy you are haha

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most recent thing that springs to mind is that we just drove through Yellowstone and Grand Teton, and stood less than 20ft from a grizzly bear
