About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a passionate individual, striving to grow and see and do anything and everything. I'm currently in transition between being stuck in to doldrums of a data entry job and the exciting new world of computer science. In the process of this transition, I am off to see the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Do what you love and love what you do.
That and: "Say yes to everything, but don't be a dumb-ass"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to experience more than just the inside of a hostel when I travel. Being able to couch surf would not only allow me to build more personal relationships with people, but would also give me the opportunity to experience a city or location beyond that of the tourist.

Interests

I love to run and do triathlon - though more running recently. I am a great cook, and with that I am a fantastic eater. I love learning about the world, about cultures, individuals, traditions, and the unique intricacies that might not seem to matter in the grand scheme of things, but are what subtly shape our world. And of course, traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC:
Rock and Roll - though don't ask me to tell me who plays in that awesome rock band that I've been jamming out to. Unless it's Queen. Then I know, and I love it.

MOVIES:
Remember the Titans; Pride and Prejudice; I'm pretty open minded though, most movies have their charms.

BOOKS:
Once a Runner, Persuasion (or really just anything Jane Austen), and Harry Potter are definite favorites, but I love reading all sorts of books. Adventures, ethnographies, biographies, love stories, anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2013 I competed in Ironman Coeur D'Alene, coming in second for my age group, being only 5 minutes away from qualifying for the World Championships in Kona. Kona is still the dream, but there is just something about running (not very fast mind you) down the middle of town with your arms up hearing the crowds roar and those meaningful words "You Are An Ironman!" being yelled over the loud speaker.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn or experience something from your own experience in the world, whether you are from the area that we are staying, or a traveler yourself. I would also love to share with you recipes, card games, and various experiences from my own personal history.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you want I can cook something for you, I love cooking, especially when I get to share it with other people

Countries I’ve Visited

Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
