ABOUT ME
Hey there! My name is Stephanie and I am originally from Canada but have spent the last decade of my life travelling as much as I can (and occasionally working or studying along the way). I am proud to say that I have now visited nearly every continent (Africa and Antarctica being the exceptions) and I feel that I have only begun to scratch the surface of what is going on in this amazing and sometimes astounding world of ours!
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
One of my favorite things about travelling is getting to meet many people from vastly different backgrounds than my own . I love hearing what people have experienced in their lives; both the things I can relate to and some which I cannot. Couchsurfing seems like a great way to immerse myself with local people to try and really understand the places that I visit. Plus it can take you to places you may never have thought to visit otherwise and that's pretty cool.
Centres d'intérêt
My hobbies include rock climbing, running, reading, dancing and meeting as many new people as I can. Oh and wine, definitely wine...

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Favorite books: I generally like to read non-fiction stuff that has to do with practical philosophy or popular science stuff (even though I struggle to understand most of it). Peter Singer is a favorite contemporary philosopher. My favorite fiction novel is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and I have probably read the first book at least ten times.
Favorite Music: Funky Breaks, Drum and Bass, Electro Swing, Dance Hall, Reggeeton, pretty much anything 90's. Basically if it has a fast bass line or upbeat tempo and it makes me want to move I'm in.
Favorite Movies: Cheesy Romantic Comedies mostly. High Fidelity being at the top.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I graduated my Masters program cum laude. Pretty proud of that one:)
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I love to cook but I am not great at it so I always like to share recipes with others to try and learn from them. I love to share stories both my own and others. Always down with some good banter! And I think I have learned a few things about how to travel alone since that is how I have done most of my adventuring so I am always down to share some tips about that as well.
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
A good nature, lots of laughs (hopefully), great stories and I always have a couple of spare books lying around to share.
