ABOUT ME

I am from Conception Bay South, Newfoundland. I live here with my crazy dog, Stormy. My boyfriend is currently living in France and I am going to visit him and we will be spending 6 weeks of travelling in Europe. I hope to see a lot of great places and meet a lot of great people.

Interests

I have a few interests. I love to be outside camping, hiking, canoeing and swimming. Luckily, Newfoundland is a great place to do most of this. One of the things I enjoy most is just walking around and exploring different places. I also really enjoy reading and music, though I have no musical abilities myself (I wish I did.)

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movie is the Count of Monte Cristo and I also love the Lion King, ever since I was young.
My music interests are varied. Some of my favorite artists include Blue Rodeo, Sam Roberts Band, CCR, and Tom Waits. I am very open when it comes to music.
My book choices are also very eclectic. I just finished the Count of Monte Cristo and am now reading The Three Musketeers. I also enjoy Mario Puzo and books on organized and true crime. I love children's literature as I have my background in primary/elementary education. Because of Winn Dixie is one of my favorite children's books as well as the Guests of War trilogy by Kit Pearson. My favorite short story is Ambrose Bierce's An Occurance at Owl Creek Bridge.

Teach, Learn, Share

I coached swimming for 5 years so that is something I can help with. I also have a lot of experience with children for anyone who has kids.
I would love to learn more about each place I visit.
