About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission in life is to discover and learn as much as I can about the world. I'm trying to to see how idealism looks when in action and how to be of best service to the greater good.

ABOUT ME

Hi my name is Stephanie! I was born in Beijing but raised as a Florida girl. It's probably why I love nature so much. I'm 23 years old and recently graduated with a degree in Anthropology, English, and Education at Rollins College. I'm low-maintenance, easy-going, and easily excited. I love learning about new cultures and ideas--especially if it goes hand in hand with meeting new people. I'm a little shy in group settings, but you will not get me to shut-up when it's a small group or one-on-one scenario. I absolutely love couchsurfing and have done it in Rome, Bari, Ancona, Croatia, and Montenegro.

PHILOSOPHY

Love God, Love Yourself, Love Others. Love is accomplished in every action you perform.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My first experience with Couchsurfing was on the streets of Rome. During my time studying abroad, it was an amazing way to meet locals and truly discover the alleys and hidden gems of the la citta bella. I want to immerse myself in the everyday life of locals everywhere!

Interests

Yoga, anything outdoors, literature, eating, learning, conversing, walking in big cities at night, exploring, watching soccer, and plane rides.

Music, Movies, and Books

Very much inspired by the Bible, Henry David Thoreau, Into the Wild, Paulo Coelho, Kahlil Gibran, Jane Goodall and the like.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending the night at Mount Everest base camp and trying to breathe at 2 a.m. when the air pressure gets insane.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am not a certified yoga instructor, but I do love giving the gift of yoga and teaching beginners! It's a great way to connect body, mind, and spirit with just about anyone.

I also love talking about the places I've been and what I've learned from other countries. Additionally, I enjoy discussing anything related to literature or social sciences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My cooking, outdoor adventures, great massages, yoga, and good conversation.
