Overview
About Me
When I was 10, I wrote an essay about wanting to go around the world and learn at least 8 languages before I die. Fifteen years later, I found myself sitting on a couch when a friend of mine told me about her trip around Europe. Travel seemed like a distant dream back then, especially, because as a teacher, I don't make much. Then, that friend told me about this site, and it seemed as if a world of possibilities opened up before me.
I think what excites me the most about travelling is the opportunity to meet people. To live like the locals, eat like the locals, and especially, to understand them by learning about their history.
Travelling is a leisure activity, yes, but it can also be a mean of a greater good: achieving world peace.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A friend of mine joined Couchsurfing.org and had a great trip around Europe. She met internationally-minded person who exchange ideas with her. A life-changing experience, she said. By saying so, she inspired me to do the same thing... more fabulously!
