About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel all over Japan!

ABOUT ME

I'm a Dutch Japanese Studies Student. Currently on an exchange program for a year at Kumamoto University. I'd love to meet new people on my travels while I study the Japanese culture from the inside. Topics I can talk about: Anime and games.

After September, I will be returning back to my dorm in the Netherlands, where I can host one person. Any interest related to Japanese culture? We can talk!

PHILOSOPHY

"Step out of the box."

Interests

I usually spend my time watching Japanese anime and playing computer games with my friends. In Kumamoto, I seek every possible event I can participate in (such as tea ceremonies, coming-of-age, yosakoi). I like to talk about languages!

Music, Movies, and Books

Anime series! Shakugan no Shana, Shingeki no Kyojin, I've watched over 200 series by now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

First of all, passing the examination for the embassy recommendation to get the Monbukagakusho Scholarship, which allowed me to study abroad for a year in Kumamoto. Other things are my homestays in Osaka and Kagoshima, and participating in Japanese Speech Contests.

Teach, Learn, Share

I learnt a lot about Dutch culture after I started studying abroad in Japan. Sharing trivia about the Netherlands and Japan is something that I like, and I hope you will get to like it too.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Japan, Netherlands
