About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Just trying to have a good time.

안녕하세요!

ABOUT ME

Okay, sit back and get ready to meet the chillest person alive (just kidding; that kind of a title is too much of a responsibility for someone as chill as me).

It goes without saying that traveling is something I enjoy. Other things include singing, going to the beach, or just hanging out with good company.

I've been living in Korea and teaching English for the last 3 years, and each year has come with many changes, but all of them were definitely great and filled with amazing people and experiences.

ATTENTION HOSTS: I'm horribly afraid of bugs. If there is one in the room, I may ask you to take it away for me. In exchange, I will consider you a hero for a day and maybe cook something for you. :)

PHILOSOPHY

Bite the bullet and just go for it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed a few times and loved it. But I've only hosted once (Update: twice!). My current living situation doesn't allow for surfers, unfortunately. I'm pretty bummed about that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I've surfed in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany and Poland. All of my hosts were absolutely amazing and sweet people. All of them made me feel at home. I also had the pleasure of meeting so many people from all over the world either through my hosts or by accident in my travels. CouchSurfing has definitely opened up my perspective and I'm incredibly grateful to have had these opportunities!

Interests

I absolutely love music and literature. Words and music fascinate me. I love travelling and seeing history as well as the cultures of the places I've visited.

NOREBANG!!!

I like exploring old cities and seeing new places, although I also highly value a night in with a movie, popcorn and friends.

One of the best feelings I get when I travel is when I am returning to my host's place alone and I realize I know how to get there. I love that feeling when I am familiar with a city and its streets and trains and buses after only a day or two of exploring.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few trips to mountainous Colombian countryside. Probably the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in nature.I've also ridden in a tiny motorboat to an island the size of a high school football field in the Dominican Republic. Snorkling and feeding all of the colorful fish fruits right from my hand was just so much fun!And I've had a cigarette knocked out of my mouth with knives thrown by a pair of jugglers in a street performance in Bogota.
And this isn't so amazing, but I've had my teeth chipped in a karaoke accident rather recently. Thought I should share.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you basic Spanish or English, if you'd like. (Polish too, if you want, but I'm very rusty.) I can also teach you how to fold those cool paper fortune-tellers or cut paper snowflakes. And I also know how to paint a room.
I'd like to learn how to cook rice. My mother has tried countless times to teach me, but I never get it right. It's also an ambition of mine to learn to play guitar, piano, and trumpet, since music can communicate in ways language cannot.
In the past I've tried to learn how to juggle in Gothenburg and I've tried to teach a guy how to dance and speak Spanish in Malmo. I've cooked meals for many of my hosts (and taught them how to make them themselves). I'd be happy to teach and learn and share all the same things all over again and more.

Countries I’ve Visited

Colombia, Denmark, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Iceland, Japan, Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom
