Music, Movies, and Books

I love indie/rock music but I'm fairly open-minded on music. I used to be in a bit of a pop punk band when I was at uni and I had floppy emo hair!

I don't watch a lot of movies but I love:
V for Vendetta, Shutter Island (and most Leonardo di Caprio films), Memento and some foreign language movies such as La Piel Que Habito & Hable Con Ella (Pedro Almodovar!) and Die Welle.

Books:
I tend to read non-fiction. I recently read First They Killed My Father which is written by a woman who was 5 years old when the Khmer Rouge took power in Cambodia. It was one of the saddest things I've ever read and I really recommend it, especially to anyone who doesn't know about the Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I trekked to Everest Base Camp with two friends I met on my travels. We trekked without porters or guides. We watched the sunrise over Everest (while resisting hypothermia!).
