About Me
Namaste
My name is Ste,
I've been traveling through India and Nepal since November and have plans to travel to Sri Lanka. I have immersed myself in many cultures and practises throughout my trip and I am looking to contribute towards a community and gain more self confidence on my journey of teaching yoga.
This is my first time in Sri Lanka and I am presently in Negombo grounding myself from the travels from Himachal Pradesh. I travel to Sri Lanka with the intention of offering my services to those in need and would like to cultivate new positive, meaningful relationships.
About me:
I am originally from the West Midlands of England, I have lived in the UK, the French Alps, and the Canary Islands, with travels spanning Europe, North Africa, and Asia.
I thrive on connecting with new people, embodying an outgoing nature. I have good communication skills that enable me to excel both independently and as part of a team. I have valuable experience in working with children, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities.
I am eager to dive into and immerse myself in any tasks or projects you are working on. I bring a versatile skill set and a can-do attitude. My passion for the arts and the great outdoors drives me to be creative and engage in various physical activities that deepen my connection with nature. Whether it's hiking through lush landscapes, catching waves while surfing, expressing the essence of a place through drawing, or observing through meditation, I feel most alive when immersed in these activities. Moreover, I also find fulfilment when working with the land and being in water.
Cultivating my own vegetables and plants brings me joy whenever space allows. Recent pursuits have led me to embrace community living, building, permaculture practices, and disciplines such as yoga, song writing, drumming, kirtans, and vipassana meditation
In the past, I've volunteered with diverse communities in the UK, Portugal, and Morocco, experimenting with various natural building methods and materials, from off-grid communities to chalets and hostels. My experiences have nurtured a deep-seated desire to contribute meaningfully to a community where cultural exchange and collaboration flourish.
Ultimately, I seek to be an integral part of a community where I can share ideas, learn new skills and languages, deepen my yoga practice, and embark on a journey of personal growth and authenticity.
