I traveled extensively when I was younger, more than 50 countries in Asia, Middle East, Europe and Africa, predominately by myself.
I studied computer programming when I was 32 and worked in the industry for nearly 20 years. Currently retired and living 20 minutes south of Coffs harbour, 4kms from beaches with my wife, 2 sons and 2 dogs.
More recent trips were 10 months travelling around Australia with my wife and then 10 year old son. Nepal for the 7th time with my older son, South Island of New Zealand, Vietnam and recently to the North Island of NZ. A return to Bali after a near 40 year absence.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

With Covid prevalent and being of an older demographic, we don't host very often. I have decided not to pay to be on Couchsurfing, as I only host and I think it a bit rude to have to pay for me to host others! So I cannot reply unless you contact me on Facebook or give me your email so I can reply. We will only accept vaccinated travelers.
I am on Couchsurfing mainly because I was shown lots of generosity whilst I traveled in all sorts of places and countries, and I enjoy showing this beautiful part of the world to visitors.
The only over-nighters I accept are cyclists. We can't always host, we live busy lives and have lots of family and friends calling in, but if I have 2 days to spare I love showing off the local area, particularly Dorrigo National Park. We also have a 6km walk at the bottom of the road through some lovely rain-forest.

Intereses

I am generally quiet, I enjoy golf, bushwalking, cooking, reading, sport and travelling. I have 2 dogs, an energetic border collie and a very boisterous Labrador.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I am 20 minutes from Coffs Harbour in a small village of 250 houses. I live on a 1 1/2 hectare property and I usually have a spare bedroom. Views of the Bellinger River, 4kms to the beaches, 15 minutes to Bellingen, 45 minutes to Dorrigo.
This is not a party house, rather a beautiful location amidst rainforest, you will get good cooking, great coffee on the balcony and a quiet, relaxing stay. I will be able to show visitors this beautiful area.
You must like dogs and be aware that this is an early rising household, so no noise after 10pm.
