About Me

Id like to think of myself as a nomadic spirit that moves according to my heart. I'm the one in the extrovert in the room annoying some of my friends say but i think im ok :-) . I grew up in a rural village outside the Capital Belmopan named Roaring Creek, which has a reputation of being a mean place. I was raised by interracial parents of Creole and Mestizo decent. I'm 1 of six kids which makes me a "media docena". A large family and even larger network of friends. I am the type to value family and friendship and respect boundaries. My mum is a Rasta woman who i hold highly in my life for guidance and learnt respect. I had previously became a certified primary school teacher in the Belize educational system , teaching in Saint Matthews Government School, which if ever if you would like to volunteer is gladly accepted and welcomed by our institution.
Currently I am work for the GOV as Focal Point for Anti Human Trafficking in Belize. My work involves being super active and informed about national processes and can offer great insight into the social overview of the Jewl. I'm super engaged and love to learn from others and they way we look at life. I am a libertarian so my views may be worn on my sleeves and I encourage others around me to feel as comfortable as they wish, just as long as we respect each other's boundaries!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, i was scared and skeptical about the idea of hosting people based on the scary movies Ive seen and all the urban legends. But after visiting New York Manhattan and realizing that I had friends who were kind enough to host me made me think that there's some cool people out there and that I should learn to give chances. Ive met cool people through my roomie Kevin Mendez whose a couch surfer now for three years and have had great experiences with visitors who helped in may ways to shape perspectives in many ways.
