About Me
Currently on weekend escapes to new cities.
Couchsurfing first entered my life during a backpacking trip that took me around the world. I made dozens of wonderful friends along the way. Now I'm a medical student and work part-time as a firefighter, meaning I don't get to travel as much, when I do, though, I try to make the most of it!
I enjoy the outdoors, green spaces, going for a challenging hike or bike ride, and wandering cities. I've spent time working in restaurants, summer camps, on ambulances and fire trucks, at non-profits, music festivals, bee farms, butterfly gardens, and in emergency rooms.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
"So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun." -Alex McCandless, Into the Wild
