About Me

Greetings, salutations! I am a final year student at the University of Kent in Canterbury, in the UK. I absolutely adore travelling, surprise surprise. It's incredibly liberating and always an amazing chance for self development. My goal is to have a job flexible enough so that I can continue to travel and meet new people into the future. I am going to get this job, just wait and see. When I finish here I am hoping ot do a masters in creative writing so let's see what happens there! I've lived in Thailand, I've lived in Uruguay, I've lived in Chile, and I have spent tie working and living in Honduras and the Canaries. So I have done a fair bit. I've walked glaciers and deserts, jungles and I've skydived, and taken some risks. I've lived well and even though I am calming down now I still want to live.

When it comes to travelling, you could sum me up in a single word. I am the embodiment of resourcefulness.

As for what else I'm into, (1) anything related to improving the world, (2) famous books (I once had the thought that if there is an old book that is famous, there should be a good reason. This theory has not yet let me down.) Last thing I read was Anna Karenina. Amazing, definitely recommended! I'm also super into writing. (3) I've just realised I put everything into this box. Oops.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people and make life-long friends in exotic places. To have fun. To develop. To get a greater understanding of the world. To acquire amazing stories and photos. To give my life a little risk and to stop things from becoming stale. What is life without connection eh?

Interests

Please see the about me section! Literature, weird ideas, tattoos, thought. Quality relationships of all forms. Free food, original things. People that support the underdog. Causing outrage. Experimenting with my facial hair. Alternative ways of living. Cool people, cool people that understand me and vice versa. I cannot stand miscommunication!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: System of a Down! Beethoven's 9th. The Evita soundtrack. Mongolian folk music. The Prodigy. Soundtrack to Battlestar Galactica. Soundgarden. Alice in Chains. Stone Temple Pilots

Movies: The Room! Anything with cheesy actors from the 80's and 90's. Dracula.

Books: War and Peace, Anna Karenina, these two are the very greatest books I have had the pleasure of reading.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I walked on the Perito Moreno glacier for my 25th birthday. That was a crazy ass day! Cost a hell of a lot of money but when I'm on my deathbed, I'll remember it with a chuckle. That's what it's all about; that's my whole game.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: English, chess, salsa, bachata, a little bit of a few other dances. How to make the greatest toasted sandwich the world has ever, or will ever, have the privilege of being host to. In general how to make amazing dishes out of terrible ingredients. Plus a very nice variety of life skills.

Learn: More Spanish, anything you are good at.
