My name’s Steve, I'm a professional photographer and designer based in Portland, OR. I specialize in photographing Ballet - Classical and Contemporary - it's a passion of mine to document phenomenal dancers everywhere I go. I have not had a chance to travel too extensively, but I hope that changes in the near future.

I’m currently traveling around the us photographing dancers in different cities. I’m an extremely unobtrusive guest, I’m usually out exploring and or shooting most of the day and evening, I don’t generally require a guide or to take up much of your time. Unless we’re both free, in which case I love meeting new people and seeing the town with someone.

Maybe it’s because I spend all of my time surrounded by women, or because I’ve had less than enjoyable experiences hosting guys, I have a preference to host/surf with women or couples.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I can teach: Photography mainly, that's what I'm best at. If you have an interest in photography of any genre I can give instruction and demonstration. Or, if you’d like I’m always happy to take photographs of people while I’m staying with them.

Learn: I love learning the local history and local stories of places I visit, languages, cultural customs, people’s more obscure abilities, anything interesting really.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Photography - I can teach or offer insight in all kinds of photography; from studio settings to natural light and outdoor hss flash photography. I’m also more than happy to do a photo session with you if you prefer to be in front of the camera. Sometimes people ask me to teach them ballet “moves” ... I do take ballet classes, but I’m in no position to offer instruction.
