About Me

Hello Couchsurfers!
I am currently and exchange student in the Czech Republic from Taiwan! I am pursuing my bachelors degree at Tamkang University, which gave me this great opportunity to study for one year in the Czech Republic =). Kinda crazy 27 and decided to go back to school now i am 29. Prior to be going back to school in Taiwan i was living in Dallas Texas! Where i was working as a hairdresser/ barber which i enjoyed so much that i felt the need to take my skill and experience a different culture. The culture of my ancestors which i didn't get to experience as a child because i was brought up in Argentina.
Might seem odd but yes US born, Argentina raised, Texas grown Taiwanese educated nomad exploring the world and experiencing it. I love languages and feel like it is one of the keys to learning of culture. I love learning new stuff, i take interest in a lot of things but only have time for a few. Jack of all trades but master at none.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about couch surfing from a few of my adventurous friends and decided to check it out, after learning a bit more about it i decided to give it a shot! I have my doubts about the system because i never tried it. questions of safety and stuff but i hope to have joined what in my mind i images to be a community of awesome hosts and considerate guests. Never knowing about this site , i have always thought how much i love hosting people such as having friends over for dinner and such. Which seems like when i settle down in one place i can start hosting guests also!
So now i have 1 year in Europe and well i could do the hostel route and go check out the key places but...... that is no funnnnnnnnn! I couldn't imagine spending airline ticket to just go(we say in chinese) "walk the horse and gaze at flowers" I want to know! What do people do with their time? I want to trade stories in spanish english or Chinese and learn from others. I truly appreciate solid friendships, i have come to randomly host friends of friends during their trip to Taiwan and Dallas and had a blast doing it and sharing with people great experiences
I would love to see many well known attractions just to say i have because thats just whats expected to do when going to europe haha ... but what i really want to know is how people live their lives and learn of different customs and mindsets.
