About Me

I love the feeling when my plane lands in another country and that "where the hell am I" thought starts racing through my head. I've learned that life is about experiences - not tangible things like an iPhone or something only money can buy. Tangible and material things don't provide you with the long lasting memories something like traveling can provide.

Anyways, I am a biologist! It's pretty cool I think. If you wanna talk nerdy to me just mention anything about viral infections or the event horizon of a black hole - IDGAF! Other parts of my world include Dragon Ball Z (and other nerdy-related things), good fashion, fun nights out, and a nice little place to rest my head.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friend and I finished a European backpacking trip that lasted from May 2014 - June 2014. In those 30 days, we stayed with great hosts and a few nice hostels. CS'ing can be difficult - especially in the more popular cities. And many times we received maybes or yes answers from horny guys just wanting a one night stand. These people generally don't allow "couples" or 2+ people either - especially if you're a male. Geesh. Get over yourself!

Interests

The different perspectives of one's life is something very intriguing to me. I like learning of other peoples outlook on life, their religion (or lack of), their culture, and their philosophy. I am also very intrigued in our natural universe, cosmology and astronomy. Plus, being a biologist, I think I like the cellular stuff, too.

In addition, I love to read, I love Disney (The Lion King is my favorite), I love Sonic the Hedgehog and partying with my friends. You can also chill with me and watch some Dragonball Z and eat chips. haha. Italian red wine can apparently get me inebriated ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Dan Brown novels (Robert Langdon thrillers) assisted me in falling in love with world-wide travel (Especially Roma). I want to see as much as I can in my small, insignificant amount of time on this Earth.
In terms of music, I love to listen to anything not Gen-Z related I suppose. I honestly don't know much of the current music trends now. I guess this means I'm getting older...? However I do love some house, EDM, Trap music and 90's club hits lol
I like Disney movies, comedies, horror and thrillers! A good suspense movie really gets me on edge!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't list or name one specific event. I enjoyed everything from ziplining through the Santa Elena cloudforest in Costa Rica to just playing a board game with my friends in the apartment. I am sure there will be other and possibly more exciting adventures in my life but I cherish all of them.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am native in English and mediocre in Spanish. I would love to learn other languages, particularly Italian! I also am certified in CPR and know basics in biological/medical and physical sciences! So if you want to know some science or English, I may be of some help!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food, cultural norms, language, and being silly.
