ABOUT ME

Everything really is in some way amazing. The unbelievable, the commonplace, there is something to behold in all things. I've recently come upon some free time, so I joined Couch Surfing with the hopes of being spurred into traveling action. Then, while checking out the site, I realized that meeting new people who could add to my life's enrichment was a nice little side perk. So, I've been a bartender for the last seven years, I try to not take nice gusts of wind and the such for granted, and music is my savior. I like to drink coffee and read during the day, it makes me feel smart. I like to go out for drinks and talk about life with whoever is around at night. I guess that does it...

PHILOSOPHY

Try, try, try to take the bad with the good, and remember that I am no saint.

Interests

Music, music, music. I go to shows all the time. A nice piece of existentialist literature with a hopeful lean (it's in there). I also love going to the movies...often by myself.

Music, Movies, and Books

Jack Kerouac, Walker Percy, John Barth, Albert Camus, Dave Eggers, Ernest Hemingway, etc., etc.
Sufjan Stevens, Avett Brothers, Radiohead, Christmas Carols, guitars, banjos, pianos, drums, harmoniums, barbershop quartets...god, it's too much.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

These guys stole our camp site in Yellowstone in the middle of peak season. They were from Saudi Arabia and studying in the US. Everyone was pretty upset about the whole scenario, but a couple of beers and a little whiskey later, we were laughing and I was being recommended to Couch Surfing.
