About Me

I love to explore new places and meet new people!
I recently finished my undergrad degree in Geology, but I also have a passion for coding. I recently started working for a tech company and I've been really enjoying it. Now that I am done school I am looking forward to travelling more!

In the past I've always been the type of guy that would prefer to go to a hostel instead of a hotel so I could make new friends and learn more about a city than I would otherwise. I'm pretty laid-back, and I really enjoy conversations over a cup of coffee, board games, and the outdoors.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to make new connections with people and discover things about my travel destinations that I wouldn't otherwise.

Interests

In my spare time I like to rock climb, and my hometown (Calgary) is the perfect destination for that. It's right next to the rocky mountains so it's great to be able to go experience nature like that. One of my other passions is podcasting and listening to podcasts. I currently host a science podcast called "Endeavour Podcast with Stephen Schroeder" , and I love listening to podcasts pretty much any time I am not doing anything else.
