Couchsurfing is for me part of my effort to integrate with people, develop relationships and connections, make friendships and educate myself with the lifestyle of the people and cities I visit. My trips are usually for professional or cultural purposes and are rather short. Sharing a place to stay with somebody from the couchsurfing community is for me a matter of building bonds and trust.
