About Me

CURRENT MISSION

#1 item on my bucket list: Travel every country in the world.

ABOUT ME

Just a happy go lucky Indian/Canadian who loves to laugh, enjoys being pushed out of his comfort zone, always keen to explore new places and meet wonderful people. I'm a jack of all trades but skilled at none. Got various interests ranging from alternative music to DIY projects to suiting up.
I'm always prepared for questions. If you've got some, please ask.

PHILOSOPHY

Holstee Manifesto <--- Google it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently travelling and looking to surf couches but would love to host surfers when I finally settle somewhere :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed on a couch in Johannesburg, South Africa. Totally fell in love with the CouchSurfing concept and it's such an enriching experience. Not only you cut down on costs when you travel but you end up seeing the place through local eyes and make wonderful friends. It's spectacular.

Interests

sightseeing, adventure, food, music, tv, cycling, roller-blading, rickshaws, suits, marathons, partying, reading, laughing, comedies, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I'm a sucker for romantic comedies, drama and comedies in general. Warning: I do cry watching romantic comedies. haha.
Music: Alternative, Dance, Country, Ethnic, Instrumental (Violin), Folk, Pop, Soft Rock, Dubstep, Classics. Just no heavy metal or classless rap.
Books: Bessie Head is one of my favorite authors. She made me fall in love with Africa. Currently reading "I am Malala". Always open to new suggestions for books to read :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lots.
Driving on Highway 1 in Canada is amazing. The majestic mountains, green trees, clear rivers, sunshine in summer and snow in winter - all make a thing as simple as driving - spectacular.
Rode on the tube in London, England during the Olympics!
Camped in the Big 5 territory in Okavango Delta, Botswana. There were no fences, nothing. Elephants, hyenas, lions - all came by our tent.
Visited a rat temple in Bikaner, India.
Saw Pride Parade in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Sandboarded in Swakopmund, Namibia.
Partied at a railway station in Maputo, Mozambique.
Pondered sitting on the edge of the southern-most tip of African continent in Cape Town, South Africa.
Sang karaoke in 3 languages in Chandigarh, India.
Partied in Bangkok, Thailand in between flights (only had 14 hours to spare).
Saw the most beautiful beaches in Perth, Australia.
Visited a lil' town named North Pole in Alaska where Christmas is 24/7 a year.
